This article reviews setting up the Radar Schedules App as a 'lite app' on Android mobile devices for users who are new to Radar Schedules.


The Radar Schedules app is not currently available for download on the Google Play Store for some devices.  Instead, Android users should install the Radar Schedules website as a 'lite app' on their mobile device. The 'lite app' will allow the User to view their schedule, request time off, set availability, and communicate with their team.

Follow these steps to set up Radar Schedules as a 'lite app' on an Android device:


  1.  In Chrome, go to the Radar Schedules website

  2. Tap the three dots menu on the top right



  3. Select Add to Home Screen


  4. Select Add


  5. Place Radar Schedules anywhere on the home screen for easy access

Follow these steps to set up Radar Schedules as a 'lite app' on an IOS device:


  1. In Safari, go to the Radar Schedules website

  2. Tap the Share button


  3. Tap Add to Home Screen


  4. Tap Add


  5. Place Radar Schedules anywhere on the home screen for easy access

Changing Notifications Preference to Email


Push Notifications are not supported by the 'lite app'. To receive Notifications, Users should switch their Notification Preference to 'Email'

Follow these steps to change the Radar Schedules Notification Preference:


  1. Log into Radar Schedules

  2. Tap the hamburger menu on the top left


  3. Tap Settings


  4. Locate the Notifications section of the Settings page. Each type of Notification will be listed, along with its current Notification Preference.

  5. Tap the current Notification Preference for the desired Notification type

  6. Select 'Email'
