The Storage Locations page allows Users to hierarchically assign Inventory Items to a Storage Location. A Storage Location tree view can be created for each Location, and will display on the left side of the screen. Folders can be created in the tree view to represent each Storage Location. Once Storage Location folders have been created, Inventory Items can be added to each Storage Location.



Storage Location Header



1) Show Options - Click to show 'Advanced Options'. See the Advanced Options section below for more information


2) Location - Location whose Storage Location tree is being displayed


3) Cycle - Only Inventory Items associated with the selected Inventory Cycle will be shown:

  • All
  • Weekly
  • Daily
  • Period


4) Inventory Items - Enter text to search for an Inventory Item within the Storage Location tree


5) Only Inventory Items purchased at this Location? - When checked, only Inventory Items that have been purchased at the selected Location will be displayed.


6) Show - Click to refresh the display of the Storage Location tree based on the selected filters. 


Editing Storage Location Tree



To add a Storage Location folder:

  1. Select the desired parent folder
  2. Enter the name of the new Storage Location folder
  3. Click 'Add'


To edit a Storage Location folder:

  1. Select the desired folder
  2. Click the 'Pencil' icon
  3. Edit the Storage Location name
  4. Click 'Save'


To change the display order of a Storage Location folder:

  1. Select the desired folder
  2. Click the 'Up' or 'Down' arrows to move the folder up or down in the hierarchy


To delete a Storage Location folder:

  1. Select the desired folder
  2. Click the 'Red X' icon

    Important Note: Deleting a Storage Location folder will delete all configurations for that Storage Location folder. Once deleted, the folder cannot be reactivated. 

New Storage Location Item Tool



To add a new Inventory Item to the Storage Location, fill in the New Storage Location Item wizard, then select 'Append' or 'Insert'. 

  • 'Append' will assign the next available Sort Order to the Inventory Item, placing it at the bottom of the list.
  • 'Insert' will assign the selected Sort Order to the Inventory Item, placing it in the list accordingly. 


New Storage Location Item Fields:

  • Sort Order - Order that the Inventory Item being added will appear in the displayed Storage Location. 
    • Note: This field is only used when 'Insert' is clicked to add the Inventory Item. This field is ignored when 'Append' is clicked.

  • Inventory Items - Select an Inventory Item to add

  • Cycles - Select all Inventory Cycles that the new Inventory Item should be counted during

  • Taking Unit - Select the Taking Unit used to count the Inventory Item
    • Note: Inventory Items with multiple Taking Units can be added multiple times, if needed

  • Prep Unit - Select the Prep Unit for the Inventory Item
    • Note: This field is only editable for Inventory Items associated with Prep Items

  • Par - Select the Par Amount for the Inventory Item in the displayed Storage Location

  • S/O - Check if the Inventory Item should be included in Suggested Ordering 

Storage Location Items Table


 

The Inventory Items assigned to the selected Storage Location are displayed in the Storage Location Items table, containing the following columns:


Bulk Select - Click to select the Inventory Item for Bulk Edit. Bulk Edit options are located at the bottom of the table and can be used to:

  • Add Inventory Cycles
  • Remove Inventory Cycles
  • Add Suggested Ordering
  • Remove Suggested Ordering
  • Delete the Inventory Item from the Storage Location


Alert - A 'Bell' icon is displayed for Inventory Items with alerts associated with them


Sort Order - The order that the Inventory Item appears in on Taking Sheets. 


Inventory Item Name - Inventory Item counted in the Storage Location


Cycles - The Inventory Cycles that include the Inventory Item for the displayed Storage Location.


Taking Unit - Taking Unit that the Inventory Item is counted in. Inventory Items with multiple Taking Units can be added to a Storage Location multiple times, if needed. 


Prep Unit - Prep Unit for the Inventory Item


Price - Price associated with the Inventory Item


Prep Price - Price of the Prep Item


Par - Par quantity for the Inventory Item in the displayed Storage Location


Suggested Ordering - Indicates if the Inventory Item is included in Suggested Ordering


Action Buttons 

  • Yellow Pencil - Click to edit the Inventory Item details for the Storage Location
  • Red X - Click to remove the Inventory Item from the Storage Location
  • Up Arrow - Click to move the Sort Order of the Inventory Item up in the list
  • Down Arrow - Click to move the Sort Order of the Inventory Item down in the list

Advanced Options


Clicking the 'Show Options' button will display the following advanced options:


Templates


Load from Template - Load Inventory Items for a Storage Location from a saved Inventory Item Template.

Save to Template - Save the Inventory Items in a Storage Location to a Template that can be used to populate other Storage Locations.


Deleted Items and Units


Apply Purge/Replace Commands to All Locations? - When checked, the commands in this section will be applied to all Locations (instead of only the Location being displayed). 

Purge Deleted Items - Purge any deleted Inventory Items from the Storage Location.

Replace Deleted/Removed Units - Replace any deleted or removed Taking Units with the default Taking Unit for the Inventory Item.


Suggested Ordering


Include All of Sugg Ordering - Include all Inventory Items in the Storage Location for Suggested Ordering.

Exclude All from Sugg Ordering - Exclude all Inventory Items in the Storage Location from Suggested Ordering.
