Special Pay Rule Setup is where Special Pay Rule Sets can be viewed. Special Pay Rule Sets are configured by R365 Support, and cannot be edited on this page. To make any adjustments to an existing Rule Set or to configure a new Rule Set, please follow the instructions found in the Special Pay Initial Setup article



Security


Only Superadmins will be able to view the Special Pay Rule Setup page. 



Navigation



To navigate to the Special Pay Rule Setup page, first open the Company Config Module. 


The Special Pay Rule Setup page can be found in the alphabetical list, or from the Special Pay drop-down in the navigation bar.




Reviewing Special Pay


Select the Rule Set to review. This will open the Rule Set Details





1) Rule Set Name: Rule Set being viewed

2) Rule Set Options: Rule Set settings that apply to all Special Pay Rules in the Rule Set

  • Include Other Location Shifts -

3) Special Pay Rules: Rules included in the Rule Set


Click theassociated with a single Special Pay Rule to view the configuration for that Rule. This will open the Rule Options for the selected Rule.



Rule Options are how the Special Pay Rule is configured for the selected Rule Set only. To change any of the configurations for Special Pay, please follow the instructions within the Special Pay Setup article.


Locations assigned to each Special Pay Rule Set can be viewed on the Special Pay Location Assignment page. 



Special Pay Rules


A Special Pay Rule Set can contain the following rules:


Rule NameDescription
Call-In Pay/Sick Pay
Assigns Sick Pay to employees that work less than the minimum amount of time for a given day for up to three shifts in a day.
Clopening
Assigns Clopening Rule Penalty based on the span between an employee's closing clock-out time and opening clock-in time.
Hawaii Tip Credit
Assigns Special Pay as a tip credit in instances where wages plus tips for an employee do not satisfy the Hawaii minimum wage requirements
Make-Up Money
Calculates Make-Up Money in instances where wages plus tips for an employee do not satisfy minimum wage requirements.
Meal Break
Assigns Special Pay for penalties based on hours worked without the required Meal Break.
Minimum Workday Compensation
Assigns Special Pay for employees that work less than the minimum amount of time for a given day.
Regional Rest Periods
Identifies and may assign Special Pay notices or penalties regarding the amount of consecutive time off
Shift Span
Assigns Special Pay for New York employees that have worked a span of more than 10 hours in a 24-hour period.
Split Shift
Assigns Special Pay for penalties based on multiple shifts within a day being split too far apart.
Uniform Upkeep
Assigns Special Pay for New York employees for uniform maintenance based on hours worked each week.
