Once you have selected a recipe book in the ‘Book View’ drop-down field, a tree view of the recipe book will appear on the far left side of the Recipe List page.  The tree view displays a hierarchical view of the recipes and gives you the ability to easily navigate recipes located in different folders and subfolders.  The following actions can only be performed within the tree view for the “All Recipes” recipe book:

  • Deactivate All Recipes - To deactivate all recipes in a folder, select the desired folder followed by the red x icon at the top left corner of the tree view.  A confirmation window will appear that will allow you to confirm or deny the deactivation of all recipes in the selected folder.
  • Delete Recipe Folder - Once you have deactivated all recipes in a folder, you can delete the folder from the tree view by selecting the x icon at the top left corner of the tree view.  Note:  This icon will only appear if the selected folder has no recipes.
  • Edit - To edit a recipe folder, select the desired folder followed by the pencil icon at the top of the tree view.  This will open the “Edit Selected Recipe Folder” window where you will be able to enter the following information:
  • Name - You may edit the name of the folder.
  • Parent - Select the location to which you would like to move the folder.  Note:  In this drop-down, a parent folder is denoted by “Top Level” and a Child subfolder is denoted by two forward slashes before its name.
  • SAVE/CANCEL - Select SAVE to save changes or CANCEL to cancel changes.
  • Move - To move a folder, select a folder followed by one of the following four icons at the top of the tree view.
    • Left Arrow - Select this icon to move the parent folder up in the tree view.  Note:  This icon will not be available for children subfolders or the first folder in the tree view.
    • Right  Arrow - Select this icon to move the parent folder down in the tree view.  Note:  Note: This icon will not be available for children subfolders or the last folder in the tree view.
    • Pencil Icon - Select this icon to make the selected folder a child folder of the folder listed directly above it in the tree view.  Note:  Note: This icon will not be available for children subfolders or the first folder in the tree view.
    • 'X' Icon - Select this icon to remove the child subfolder from its subgroup.  Note:  Note: This icon will not be available for parent folders.
  • Clone Recipe Folder - To clone a folder, select the desired folder followed by the clone icon.  Upon selection, a confirmation window will appear that will allow you to confirm or cancel.  Note:  This option is available for all recipe books.
  • New Folder - To add a new folder within an existing folder, select a folder in the tree view, name the new folder in the field next to the ADD button, then select ADD.  If no folder is selected, a new parent folder will be created.
  • Expand/Collapse - Selecting ‘Expand’ will display the nested child subfolders.  The ‘Collapse’ option will collapse all the subfolders so that only the parent folders are displayed.  Note:  This option is available for all recipe books.
