The Item Group Mix Trend report displays items' percentages of total sales during a specified daypart in a specified revenue center. These percentages are displayed on a week-to-week basis. A total of 12 weeks are shown, with the final week (located in the far right column of the report) displaying information for the week specified by the user in the report setup.

Note that these percentages represent the quantity of an item sold relative to the total number of items sold during the specified daypart in the specified revenue center.

Report Usage

This report can be useful to managers who want to know if the quantity sold for a particular item has been accounting for a greater percentage of total items sold over the past 12 weeks.

Here is an example: A manager runs the report for Location 1 with the following: Date Range: 8/8/12 - 8/14/12, Item Group: Appetizers, Daypart: Lunch, Revenue Center: Dining Room, Include Zero: No. The first entry is Quesadillas. It shows 1.5% during the week of 5/23/12 to 5/29/12. This means that 1.5% of all items sold in the dining room at lunch during this week were quesadillas. The following week, 1.6% of all items sold during lunch in the dining room were quesadillas. The next week, 1.7% of all items sold during lunch in the dining room were quesadillas. By the last column (which shows the date range of 8/8/12 - 8/14/12), 2.6% of all items sold during lunch in the dining room were quesadillas. This would inform the manager that the amount of quesadillas sold during lunch in the dining room has been accounting for a greater percentage of total items sold during lunch in the dining room over the course of 12 weeks.
