The Cash Flow Report provides a detailed table that displays the amount of cash generated within a selected period, broken out by tender type. This report can be accessed from the Reports module, the GL Sales module under the ‘Reports’ tab, or the Company Configuration module under the ‘Report Setup’ tab. The report automatically pulls in tenders from the POS (cash, Visa, Amex, etc.) These make up the first set of columns, to the left of TOTAL.
Note that the source of these tenders is restricted to the POS – there is no provision to add money from a source outside of the POS to the running total via Cash Flow entries. If you need to factor in an injection of mid-month tenders, you may wish to adjust the starting BALANCE figure to simply reflect your additional money there. You can also edit the note to reflect that the BALANCE for this month includes a manual, mid-month adjustment.
The columns to the right of Total will be subtracted from the tender amounts (plus the carry over from the week before). There is a page available within the GL Sales module to make Cash Flow entries. All Cash Flow entries should be entered as a positive number, and the amounts will be backed out on the report. By using the Cash Flow Report page under Company Config, you can also set percentages to back out the credit card fees automatically. There are 10 total available columns for POS tender activity.
