The Custom Product Mix Builder page gives you the ability to create a fully customizable table that reports the sales of an item, item group, or sale department during selected time frames. This table generator can be used in conjunction with the Product Mix reports in the Reports module in order to help you identify a location group's most profitable product mix.

Basic Usage

  • Location Group - Select the location group for which you would like to develop a Pmix table
  • Metric - Select whether to display Net Sales or Gross Sales on the Pmix table
  • SHOW - After you set up the column headings and rows (see below), select SHOW to view the table. If you make changes to the column headings or rows, you must select SHOW in order to refresh the results
  • EXPORT: Select EXPORT to export the data to Microsoft Excel

Creating Column Headings

In the first column heading selector, select whether to display an Item, Item Group, or Sale Department. "Item" will always be selected by default. In the yellow auto-fill field, enter the name of the item, item group, or sale department. As with any other auto-fill field, selections that match your typed information will appear as you type. Select the check box next to 'Include $0.00 Items' if you would like to include zero-priced items.

To create another column heading, select the green plus icon. This will allow you to view sales data for an additional item, item group, or sale department. You may create a table that contains up to five column headings.

To delete a column heading, select the red x icon at the top right corner of the column heading. Creating Rows
Each row is simply a user-defined date range.

To set a date range for a row, simply type the "from" date in the first (left) date field and the "to" date in the second (right) date field. You can also set a date using the date selector. Simply select the small calendar icon next to a date field and select a date on the calendar.

To create another row, select the green plus icon. This will allow you to view sales information for an additional date range. You may create a table that contains up to 10 rows.

To delete a row, select the red x icon on the far left side of the row.
