The Manager Log Entry Types page allows you to enter your own company-specific log types. The unique “Log Types” will also populate the “Task Types”. The Manager Log comes with three standard Log Types: General, Repair & Maintenance, and Employee Issues. These standard log types may be edited or deleted.
Basic Usage
To add a new Log Type, select NEW LOG TYPE at the top left corner of the screen. To complete the entry of a new Log Type, you must enter the following information:
- Name - Enter a unique name for your new Log Type
- Image - Select an image to represent the new Log Type
- Sort Order - The sort order affects the order in which the Log Type will appear in the Manager Log It comes with three standard Log Types: General, Repair & Maintenance, and Employee Issues. These standard log types may be edited or deleted
Add a New Log Type
To add a new Log Type, select NEW LOG TYPE at the top left corner of the screen. To complete the entry of a new Log Type, you must enter the following information:
- Name - Enter a unique name for your new Log Type
- Image - Select an image to represent the new Log Type
- Sort Order - The sort order affects the order in which the Log Type will appear in the ‘Type’ drop-down field on the main Manager Log page
- Report? - The ‘Report?’ field will be selected by default for new Log Entries with this Log Type
- Incident? - The ‘Incident?’ field will be selected by default for new Log Entries with this Log Type
- Default Text - The text you enter into this field will be displayed by default when you enter a new Task or Log Entry with this Log Type
- Task Default Text? - This option turns on/off the Default Text when a new Task is added
- Log Default Text? - This option turns on/off the Default Text when a new Log Entry is added
- Can Anyone Edit? - Selecting this option allows the Log Entry or Task to be edited by all Manager Log users
Actions:
- Edit - To edit a Log Type, select the pencil icon next to the corresponding Log Type
- Delete - To delete Log Type, click on the red X icon next to the corresponding Log Type
- Exit - To exit and return to the main Manager Log page, select DONE
