The Event Management Settings page allows you to configure the settings and behavior of the Event Management module. Only users with the proper permissions can access the Event Management Settings page, and any changes made on this page will be applied immediately. 


Settings can be configured by selecting EDIT at the top left corner of the Event Management Settings page. The following settings can be configured: 

  • Allow Event End Times to be left blank? - If this option is selected, an event end time is not required in order to save the event on the Event Details page.
  • Items to Add to the Minimum Charge for an event - This setting determines which metrics are used in calculating an event’s minimum charge. The selected metrics will be denoted with a green plus sign icon on the Event Details page in the “Totals” section. The following metrics are available for selection:
    • Tax
    • Service Charge
    • Additional Service
    • Discount
  • Items to Include in the SubTotal line - This setting determines which metrics are used in calculating an event’s subtotal. The metrics selected will be denoted with a summation icon on the Event Details page in the “Totals” section. The following metrics are available for selection:
    • Food
    • Beverage
    • Services
    • Service Charges
    • Discounts
    • Taxes
  • Items to Include in the Service Charge Calculation - This setting determines which metrics are used in calculating an event’s service charge. The metrics selected will be denoted with a dollar sign icon on the Event Details page in the “Totals” section. The following metrics are available for selection:
    • Food
    • Beverage
    • Additional Services
  • Events to Show on Manager Log - Select which events to display in the “Events” section of the Manager Log module.
    • Confirmed Events
    • Unconfirmed (Inquiry, Estimate) Events
    • Cancelled Events
  • Show Post Event Notes on Manager Log & Reports? - Select whether or not to display Post Event Notes on the Manager Log module and the Log Entries for a Day report.
  • Guest Count Split Demographics -To break down your guest count into separate demographics, enter a description for each desired demographic (Adults, Children, Seniors, etc.) that will be displayed on the section of the Manager Log module.
    • Confirmed Events
    • Unconfirmed (Inquiry, Estimate) Events
    • Cancelled Events
  • Show Post Event Notes on Manager Log & Reports? - Select whether or not to display Post Event Notes on the Manager Log module and the Log Entries for a Day report.
  • Guest Count Split Demographics - To break down your guest count into separate demographics, enter a description for each desired demographic (Adults, Children, Seniors, etc.) that will be displayed on the “Details” tab of the Event Details page. Note: Enter “HIDE” into any of the demographic fields to disable the field from being displayed.
  • Warning - Disabling a demographic split will hide the description and the count field on ALL existing and future events. If an event is currently using the split field you are disabling, users will no longer be able to see or update the values; however, these values will still be used in calculating the Total.
