The Labor Templates page allows you to create multiple labor scheduling templates for each location, which helps you save time when building a new schedule. Each template consists of multiple shifts that display a job type and a time range for each day in the week. Below the template, the DOB Summary table displays the total number of employee shifts scheduled per hour. 

  • Viewing a Template Location - Select a location for which to view all corresponding templates. 
  • Template - Select the template you would like to edit. 
  • Sort Order - Select whether to sort by Clock In Time or by Job. 
  • Show Hourly Summary? - Select whether or not you would like to view the number of shifts per hour. This summary section will appear below each day. 
  • SHOW - Select SHOW to view the selected labor template. Editing Template Details Directly above the labor template is the “Template Details” window. Here, you can view the template’s name and when it was last modified. 
  • Edit - If you would like to edit the template’s name, select the pencil icon and enter the new name into the corresponding field. Select SAVE to save the template name or CANCEL to negate the change. 
  • Delete - Select DELETE to delete the template. Upon selection, a pop-out window will display confirmation of deletion. Select OK to confirm or CANCEL to negate the deletion of the template. Creating a New Template To create a new labor template, select NEW TEMPLATE. The “New Template” window will appear where you can enter the following information: 
    • Location - Select a location for which to create a new labor template. 
    • Template Name - Enter a name for the new labor template. 
    • Copy Template - If you wish to copy the shifts of a pre-existing labor template, select the desired template name from this drop-down field. By default, “Don’t Copy” is selected and will result in a blank template. 
  • SAVE/CANCEL - Select SAVE to create the template or CANCEL to cancel the creation of a new labor template. Adding/Editing a Shift To add a shift to the labor template, select ADD SHIFT underneath the relevant day of the week. This will open the "Add Shift" window, where the following information can be entered: 
    • Day of Week - If you are adding a shift to the labor template, you have the option to add the shift across multiple days by selecting each day to which you wish to add the shift. If you are editing a shift, you can change the shift’s day by selecting the desired day from the ‘Day of Week’ drop-down field. 
    • # Shifts - The newly added shift can be generated multiple times each day by entering the number of shifts per day. If you are editing a shift, this option cannot be edited. 
    • Job - Select the job for which you would like to create or edit a shift. 
    • Time Range - Enter or edit the time range of the shift. 
    • Break 1/Break 2 - Enter the start time and length of any breaks in the given shift. Enter the time at which the break should begin in the first field. The break must occur during the time range indicated above, and cannot exceed the shift’s end time. Next, enter the total break length, in minutes. This must be divisible into your Labor Schedule Time Interval (15 minute increments, by default). Notes: Enter or edit any notes for the shift. Additionally, you may select a quick note from the drop-down field which will auto-populate this information. For more information on quick notes, see the Quick Notes page. 
  • SAVE/CANCEL - Select SAVE to create the shift, or CANCEL to negate it. 
  • Edit - To edit a single shift, select the pencil icon. This will open the "Edit Shift" window, where all of the above values (except "# Shifts") can be changed. The "Day of Week" field will be changed to a drop-down, where the shift can be moved to another day of the week. Be sure to select SAVE to maintain your changes, or CANCEL to negate them. 
  • Delete - To delete a shift, select the red x icon. Upon selection, you will be allowed to confirm or cancel the deletion. Select OK to confirm or CANCEL to negate the deletion of the shift. 
  • Copying Shifts - You can quickly copy the shifts from one day and add them to another day by selecting COPY SHIFTS. Upon selection, the “Copy Shifts” window will appear where you can enter the following information: 
    • From Day - Select the day from which you would like to copy all shifts. 
    • To Day - Select the day to which the copied shifts will be duplicated. Note: If you have any shifts listed under the day selected in the ‘To Day’ drop-down, the copied shifts will delete these pre-existing shifts.
