The Locations page allows you to view and edit location-specific information. 



Basic Usage 

  • Name Contains - To search for a location, enter the location’s name into this field. If you enter a partial name, all locations that match your entry will be displayed. Select SHOW to view your search results
  • Rows - Adjust the size of the Locations table by selecting the number of rows to show per page
  • NEW LOCATION - To add a new location, select NEW LOCATION. This will navigate you to the Add Locations page where you can add a new location



Editing a Location’s Information 


To edit a location’s information, select the pencil icon in the Locations table. This will allow you to edit the following fields:

  • Location - This is the name of the location that will display throughout RADAR. Note: You are limited to 25 characters in this field. Only letters, numbers, and the following special characters are allowed: “*”, “(“, “)”, “.”, “&&”, “é”, “+”, and “#”
  • Short Name - This is an abbreviated location name. Certain pages and reports, when faced with space limitations, will use this abbreviated name. Note: This field is limited to 5 characters
  • Export ID - This value is used for exports when the location ID won’t suffice. For example, if a location’s ID is “1” but the accounting package pads it out to “01”, this field can be set to “01” so this value can be used on the export. Note: This field is limited to 10 characters
  • PR CODE - This is a location’s payroll code. This is often used if your company uses ADP. ADP has a specific company code that is location-specific. Note: This field is limited to 50 characters
  • Store Type - This field gives you another way to designate your locations for custom reporting. For example, if you company has multiple concepts, this field can be used to identify the location’s concept. Note: This field is limited to 10 characters
  • Tax Rate % - This identifies a location’s tax rate. Note: This field is only used in conjunction with the Event Management module
  • Additional Tax Rate % - Any additional tax rates can be entered here. Note: This field is only used in conjunction with the Event Management module
  • Service Change Rate - Enter the location’s default service charge rate for an event. Note: This field is only used in conjunction with the Event Management module
  • Event Management Service Charge Taxable? - Select whether or not the service charge is taxable. Note: This field is only used in conjunction with the Event Management module
  • Sub Account - Enter a Sub Account number into this text field. This informational tag can be used to designate a franchise
  • Additional Number - Enter an additional number into this text field
  • Other Info - Enter any additional information you would like to associate with the location into this text field
  • Re-poll Window - Select the time range in which you would like the location to re-poll. By default, “0:00” to “0:00” will be selected. (This corresponds to midnight to midnight, or all day)
  • Primary Control Group - Select the desired control group against which to compare the location’s data. Note: This field will not be displayed if you do not have control groups enabled for the company
  • Store Open Date - Enter the date the location opened by either typing the desired date into the field or by selecting the calendar icon and navigating to the desired day. This may or may not align with Date Activated, which is the date this location went live on RADAR
  • Comp Date - Enter the comp date for the location by either typing the desired date into the field or by selecting the calendar icon and navigating to the desired day. Note: This value can be used in custom reporting
  • “Capacity” - The four fields under the “Capacity” column (Square Footage, Seats, Tables, and Parking Spots) are information tags currently only used on the Capacity Metric Report
  • “Contact Info” - Enter the location’s Address, ZIP Code, Phone Number, Fax Number (if applicable), Email, and Time Zone. Note: This information can be viewed on many reports such as the Purchase Order Report
  • Weather ZIP - The ZIP Code entered into this field is used for weather related widgets. “Normally Closed”: In the “Normally Closed” column, all closed days will be displayed in the Normally Closed Dates table. If you wish to add a day, select the plus sign icon next to the desired day. Upon selection, the day will be added to the table, where you will be able to accomplish the following
  • ‘Bell’ - A bell icon will appear in the “Alerts” column if there is an overlapping date range
  • Edit -Selecting the pencil icon will allow you to edit the following: 
    • Day Closed - Use this drop-down field to select the normally closed day
    • Start/End Date - Select the date range during which the location will be closed by either typing the desired dates into the fields or by selecting the calendar icons and navigating to the desired days
    • Description - Enter a description for why the location is closed
  • UPDATE/CANCEL - Select UPDATE to commit your change or CANCEL to negate any changes made. Delete: Select the red x icon to delete the normally closed day. Upon selection, a confirmation window will appear where you can either confirm or cancel the deletion


Note: The 'Commissary?' setting for a location is only editable by Radar Support. For assistance with this setting, please contact the Radar Support Team.
